Porsche de Roiseux

Climbing 2009.07.19

This weekend no climbing in Bomal, but Porche de Roiseux.
Despite of the weather forecast (rain, rain, rain) I really wanted to go climbing outdoor. Work is killing me at the moment so I was desperate to go climbing to clear my head!

But having no car at this moment I was desperate to find a belay-bunny with transportation. Victim: Esther! It took me some nagging but finally she gave in!

Saturday evening we drove up to Bomal, spending the night at the camping. Last week there was nobody, this weekend there was no more space!! From the camping canteen till 2 o’clock nice (as we say in Holland) ‘Johny and Anita’ music (loud!). Nice, NOT!

Anyway, in the morning it was not the noise of people that woke us, it was the noise of rain! But as we wanted to drive up to Porche de Roiseux (30 km from Bomal) there was no panic yet, Porche is one big roof!

I never send any route in Porche de Roiseux and Esther even never went to this crag. I visited the crag once before.
Climbing was good, I send ‘Des Verres (7a) flash and ‘Voir Dune’ 2:go! The last one was really tricky, all foodhold slippery and I really had to figure out the sequence. Really cool moves! Happy to have send both.

Esther also made good progress in ‘Des Verres’, thanks for putting up the expresses!!

Pff, Monday, back at work, only thinking where to go next weekend!!
